About McG Music Studio

Teaching Philosophy

I encourage students to explore their voices in a safe and relaxed atmosphere. I focus on healthy singing technique, while encouraging creativity and individual style. Good singing technique will work for any style - pop, rock, folk, country, musical theater or classical - and I encourage all students to work on individual expression.

Collaboration

My personal philosophy is that a rising tide raises all ships, and so I encourage my students to work collaboratively and support each other in their endeavors. Students interact directly with each other during master classes and group voice classes, as well as twice yearly recitals.

Inclusivity

McG Music Studio is an intentionally inclusive environment and discrimination of any kind is not tolerated. Singers of every race, religion, ability, gender and gender expression, and sexual orientation are wholeheartedly supported in finding their voices and expressing themselves authentically.

COVID Safety

Students are not required to be masked during in-person lessons. Jenni is fully vaccinated and will be masked during lessons when recommended by the CDC or when requested by students. This policy will be reviewed regularly and changes may be made based on local conditions. Because of the increased risk of spread associated with singing, the health and safety of students will be top priority.
